The Worldcoin Foundation emphasized that integrating World ID into Solana marks a pivotal step towards establishing a trusted and inclusive global community. Central to this integration is the use of zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs), enabling identity verification while safeguarding private information.
“The process initiates with the state bridge service endorsing updates to the World ID state root on Ethereum,” stated Wormhole. When changes are detected, a Wormhole query retrieves the latest state root, which is then submitted to the SolanaWorldIDProgram for verification and storage. This ensures Solana maintains an authenticated and current state root for global identity verification.
Wormhole highlighted the SolanaWorldIDProgram as a vital tool for Solana developers, simplifying the integration of identity verification into applications. Additionally, Wormhole pledged to provide a practical code example demonstrating the application of proof of inclusion checks, ensuring compatibility with future technological advancements.
The partnership among Worldcoin, Wormhole, and Solana not only promises decentralized and enhanced security for identity verification but also facilitates cross-chain interoperability.
