The price of Bitcoin
Today, on 12th July 2024, there has been a significant recovery in the price of Bitcoin, bringing the asset closer to the $100 level. Yesterday, Bitcoin reached the $102 zone but failed to sustain its upward movement and dropped back to the $99 level.
In a surprising turn of events this week, Bitcoin experienced an impressive price surge, surpassing its all-time high (ATH) and reaching $103,679. This milestone has propelled Bitcoin to become the 10th largest currency in the world. Additionally, Bitcoin has seen a remarkable 33% growth in the last 30 days alone.
Cryptocurrency analyst Ali Martinez, in a recent technical analysis, pointed out that whales in the market are accumulating Bitcoin at an exponential rate. Martinez stated, “Bitcoin whale accumulation is going parabolic. They just bought another 20,000 BTC in the last 24 hours, valued at $2 billion!”

At the time of publication, the price of Bitcoin was quoted at US$99,816.65, reflecting a 1.9% increase in the last 24 hours. This is equivalent to approximately R$607,721.66 BRL and €94,429.19 EUR. Over the course of the week, Bitcoin has shown a slight growth of 3.3%.
Following Bitcoin’s recent movement, most major cryptocurrencies have also seen significant price gains in the last 24 hours. Ethereum is currently trading at $4,008.18, experiencing a 3.7% drop in its price. XRP is trading at $2.44, with a 7.6% increase. Cardano has increased by 4.3% and is now priced at $1.21. Solana has seen a 2% increase and is trading at $239.04.
Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, the Bitget Token (BGB) stands out with the highest increase in value. At the time of publication, the price of BGB was quoted at US$2.88, representing a 21.9% increase in the last 24 hours. In just seven days, the token has experienced a growth of 77.1%.
